About The Learning Lounge
Hi, I’m Mark — the educator behind
The Learning Lounge.
​
With over 20 years of experience teaching adults, teens, and children, I’ve helped learners of all ages tackle subjects from mathematics and science to literature and social studies. I started The Learning Lounge to give students the chance to learn in a more personal, focused way — outside the limits of a crowded classroom.
​
I believe that an individualized plan is the best way to conquer tough topics, ease stress, and help every student realize they are capable of learning things that once seemed out of reach. Watching that lightbulb moment — when a growth mindset truly clicks — is the most rewarding part of what I do.
​
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me making music, tending the garden, playing volleyball, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
